once i recieved this bag, i was surprised by how light it was, i thought it was going to be heavier. the inside is modular, so you can modify how you want the compartments to be shaped, to a degree at least. i have modified it to hold the camera with the lens attached, and have 2 compartments available for cords, or anything else i would need to carry. i keep the memory cards in the spare pokets on the sides, there is a pocket on the front, 2 on the sides, and one in the back as well to hold valuables if you didn’t want to carry a wallet or a purse. excellent bag!

I have been looking for a new bag for my new Nikon D40 and this is it! It’s has plenty of room for even my lens cleaning supplies, multiple batteries and SD cards. It also holds my camera body, 3 lenses and a set of extension tubes. There’s also space for manuals and other necessary paper work. With all this you’d think it was heavy but it’s still relatively light and the shoulder strap is configured to stay easily on your shoulder. Needless to say I’m extremely happy and would recommend this to anyone who wants convenience, space for everything and well built for durability… besides it even looks great.

This is a soft side bag that accepts all of my camera gear in secure compartments that are can be made bigger by removing partitions that are held in place with velcro. I am a hobbiest but it suits my needs very well.

I really enjoyed this bag. It was a great fit for my Nikon D40. I can hold my camera, lens and extra accessories all in one place.

I’m always a bit leary about buying products unseen, but this accessory kit is a genuinely good deal, which was delivered far more quickly than I had expected it to come. The tripod is not exceedingly sturdy, but it is certainly light weight and servicable–the sort of thing that is good for a beginner. However, if you want a really good trip that you plan on sticking with over the long haul, I do suggest that you keep looking.

I’m thrilled with the service & product from 47th Street Photo. I’d been watching Accessory Packages for the Canon Rebel XTi I got for Christmas. However, after our daughter won an event at her school and I took loads of photos to add to the CF Memory Card, I knew I had to immediately purchase this particular Kit when ALL of the photos suddenly disappeared from the Card. We had reviewed the photos several times, but the next day they were gone, including all the photos back to Christmas! I was sick!! Canon can’t explain what happened, and we did not delete them. Ritz Camera locally said to bring the Card, pay $40 to attempt to retrieve them. Canon recommended several of the free recall programs on line but I still needed a Card Reader. I also needed a case, extra battery, etc. anyway. I ordered 47th Street Photo’s Kit for the price and what it included. I was amazed at the incredibly fast shipment. I immediately installed the Image Recall program, and could see it was finding files on my CF Card. Easy instructions and on-line or telephone support. Ten hours later, I had EVERYTHING back, INCLUDING photos I had intentionally deleted. YESSSS!!!! I would have liked to have seen measurements on the Samsonite camera case included right in this item’s description, but I found them elsewhere, and I knew the case, though it would still work, would be a bit small for my XTi AND the extra lens and accessories that I prefer to put in a bag, but it will be perfect for our video camera. I would recommend the Canon Gadget Bag if you plan to carry it all! If I want to switch and take fewer items with the XTi, this Samsonite bag is great, well padded, extra pockets for more CF cards, battery, etc. The tri-pod looks sturdy. Extra batteries in the Canon brand are not cheap, so to get an extra battery included in this package is excellent. Some "generic" batteries need their own charger, but it appears this Opteka battery can be charged by my Canon charger. The additional contents were, to me, a great bonus including yet another 2 GB CF Card at the 133X speed. I had ordered another CF Memory Card at this speed over a month ago from another company and it has yet to arrive, so, again, this is awesome from 47th Street Photo! This is a great choice for an amateur or pro. Shoot one or a hundred, from behind your back, in your pocket, across the room, or behind the camera. Great investment over the infrared remotes because you don’t need to focus the beam on the camera, and distances are limited with those.

I couldn’t wait to get the vertical grip for my Alpha 300; I had one on my old Olympus E-10 and loved it. This one is even better. With a smart storage spot for the camera’s battery door on-board the grip, you will never lose it.

It provides even better grip than the camera body alone, which is partly why I bought it (I have large hands), and makes vertical photography a cinch. With two infolitium batteries on board, I spent an entire week in Toronto visiting family and taking over a thousand shots; and still had 98% left on the second battery. It’s amazing what the grip does to your battery capacity.

I only wish it came with the vertical grip hand strap; which is an extra $50 and also worth the money.

I highly recommend this grip, and am very happy I finally purchased it.

Although mostly plastic, this is a very nicely made grip that attaches solidly to the body. There’s also a nice storage place for the battery cover of the camera (which you must remove to use the grip).

The grip has three prime values:

First, you can double up your batteries, using two at a time. Considering how long the Sony battery lasts, I think this will be of little value to most.

Second, held in the traditional horizontal manner, it makes the grip longer. This is not only nice for larger hands, but for anyone using a longer, heavier lens. Additionally, it allows you to use an optional hand strap. However, my preference has always been to us this with a traditional shoulder strap attached to the side. This way, it places the strap to the side while holding the camera or tripod mounted horizontally (my most common orientation), and about as out of the way as possible.

Last, the vertical orientation is very nice with this grip, as far as the button locations and feel in general. This is particularly nice for people with hand or wrist problems.

So, what keeps this from being 5-stars? Price. Although I like everything about the grip, it doesn’t give me anything unique, and is at a considerably higher price than most competitors of equal quality.

The item came in good condition and as described.
I did not receive confirmation of the order and I received it the last day with-in the expected delivery dates, which was 2 1/2 weeks from placing my order.
